Welcome Home

PEMBROKE COURT Home Styling is here to help you make your house, a home that makes you proud and feels like you. Founder Jess Rogers can lend a trained eye whether you need help pulling together a room refresh, putting on the finishing touches or fixing that styling issue that you can’t quite get right.

Meet Jess Rogers

I am a certified Home Decorator from NY School of Interior Design, recovering HR executive and second gen vintage hunter. My husband and I are on our 7th home together and over the years, I have honed my skills. I am able to see spaces for what they could be, while not breaking the bank and not ignoring the reality of life living with pets and kids.

Now based in the Chicago suburbs, I am an ideal fit for those looking to get a vision and floor plan for a room along with furniture/decor/paint/lighting decisions made without the hefty investment of a full blown interior design service. I can help by using what you already have and staying on budget while adding more character and cohesion. I can take the stress away and make the process easy and fun!

I think that furniture is the beginning and the art, lighting and decor bring life and personality to a space. That’s my sweet spot — giving a space not just a finishing touch but one that is personal to YOU!

Let me help you attain a finished room that feels personal and not from a box store.

It often looks effortless but it actually takes skill and patience to get there.

What’s my style?

I’m not loyal to one specific style so while eclectic is an overused word, it fits best. To me, it means: mixing old with new both in placement and in use, industrial touches, pattern play, keeping the house feeling light and bright with moments in every room that are interesting to look at and feel young and vibrant. I love layers and to mix high and low valued items in an unexpected way. I believe incorporating vintage items throughout adds soul to a room and makes it unique to you.

Your style should speak to you and yours — and for me, that includes finished legos on display in almost every room because that’s life these days and why pretend otherwise?

WHAT’S YOUR STYLE?

Not sure? That’s ok! I can help you decipher the look that feels natural to you and help you create a space that feels both elevated, finished and easy to live in.

Offerings

1.

The
Reusery

Your house, your
stuff, rearranged by the hour.

The Design Challenge

A by-no-means-exhaustive list:

  • Your room is a collection of furniture from previous homes and lacks cohesion and flow. It serves its purpose but is this layout right? Should I paint?

  • Your bookshelf is a collection of random knick-knacks and needs some curation. We all deserve a #shelfie moment.

  • You are not sure what you need and you are looking for a free form consultation.

The Process

  1. 1:1 meeting to discuss what you are looking to change and how you use the space.

  2. Review what you have, look with fresh eyes at your space plan and start moving things around.

  3. Once the furniture is set, I can find those finishing layers needed to make your room thoughtful, sophisticated and stylish. I love using your plants and found objects — whether it is your grandmother's teapot, old family photos or something your husband made at camp — to add interest and pull it all together. It’s like shopping your own closet but the house version!

The Design Challenge

A by-no-means-exhaustive list:

  • Your room is somewhere in the range of empty to needs a refresh and you are not sure where to start or how to pull it together.

  • You have the foundational pieces but the room still doesn’t feel finished. I have the couch and the coffee table, now what?

  • You can’t seem to find THE thing that will work in the right size, budget and style. Perhaps you don’t have the time or patience or perhaps, you’ve looked everywhere — let me take over and do the leg work!

The Process

  1. 1:1 Consultation to discuss your goals, your budget, likes/dislikes and look at the space in person

  2. Create a cohesive mood board to ensure alignment on the direction for the space.

  3. From there, I will cull the herd of websites, catalogs, FB Marketplace etc. to come back with 3 options for each item of furniture or decor. These will be saved for you on your personal Pinterest board with links to make shopping easy.

  4. From there, you take back the wheel and order and implement at your leisure.

Cost

1 hour consultation + 1 mood board /room + a shoppable Pinterest board = $750
